Deadvlei is a clay pan, about 2 km from Sossusvlei. A notable feature of Deadvlei is that it used to be an oasis with several acacia trees; afterwards, the river that watered the oasis changed its course. The pan is thus punctuated by blackened, dead acacia trees, in vivid contrast to the shiny white of the salty floor of the pan and the intense orange of the dunes. This creates a particularly fascinating and surrealistic landscape.

The size is the paper size. Prints have a white border of 4 cm for the 50x75 cm and 70x105 cm and 5 cm for the 80x120 cm.

You can also choose to frame your print with a classic wood frame and passe-partout (at additional costs, please contact us for me details).

All Chris Schmid fine art photography is a representation of a real life scene as captured in-camera. The original photographs have not been digitally manipulated in the post processing stage and all depicted wildlife is carrying out a wild and free existence.
